Creator Payments FAQ

The most common questions we get asked about payments from creators about working with Fabulate.

By
Fabulate

Influencer marketing payment terms can be confusing.
‍

We’ve seen client payment terms range from 30 days to 120 days, and we know that waiting for payments isn’t ideal. That’s why we’re committed to transparency, so you always know exactly when funds are hitting your account.
‍

At Fabulate, we don’t hold onto payments any longer than required – we want you getting paid as quickly as possible. Our system is designed to streamline the payment process, keeping things clear, simple, and stress-free for creators like you.
‍

Whether you are a creator who is doing their first job with Fabulate, or a talent agency that does a lot of regular business with Fabulate – this guide and FAQ should give you all the information you need to set up and manage the receipt of payments from Fabulate smoothly.
‍

We know you’d rather be focusing on creating amazing content, so we’ve made this as clear (and pain-free) as possible.
‍

What are Fabulate’s payment terms?
‍

Payment terms can vary depending on the client, but they’re always clearly outlined in the brief you’re responding to on the Fabulate platform.
‍

When you accept a brief, you’re also agreeing to our terms and conditions. Our terms ensure that once the brand or customer pays Fabulate, we process your payment within five business days.
‍

Some clients may have payment terms of 60 days or more, so be sure to check the brief for specifics before pitching. That being said, in most instances you should receive your payment within 60 days after going live (but check your brief just to make sure).

Where can I find the terms and conditions?
‍

You can find our full terms and conditions here: https://www.fabulate.com.au/terms-conditions
‍

Where do I send my invoice?
‍

You don’t! One of the perks of using Fabulate is that we auto-generate invoices for you. That means no more chasing paperwork – we’ve got your back Jack.
‍

To find your invoices:
‍

  1. Click on your name in the top right-hand corner of the platform.
    ‍
  2. Select Manage Workspace.
    ‍
  3. Navigate to the Invoices section.
    ‍

From there, you can view and download any invoices for your records.
‍

Your payment terms are different to mine.
‍

When you join Fabulate, you agree to our payment terms, which means payments are processed within five business days of us receiving funds from the brand. We do this to ensure transparency and streamline payments for all creators on the platform.

‍

My payment is later than expected
‍

The most common reasons for delayed payment are:
‍

  • The client has not yet made payment to Fabulate. We will release payment in line with our terms and conditions as long as the client has paid.
    ‍
  • Creators have not uploaded their banking details, or have entered incorrect banking details.
    ‍

Check your job in platform - if payment changes with the client, this will be updated for you.
‍

If you've checked these and are still experiencing delays, reach out to finance@fabulate.com.au for assistance.

‍

When am I getting paid?
‍

Here’s how it works:

  1. Client approves your content
    ‍
  2. Fabulate receives payment from the client
    ‍
  3. Your job moves into AUTHORISED PAYMENT status
    ‍
  4. You receive an expected PAYMENT SCHEDULE
    ‍
  5. We process your payment within five business days
    ‍

You’ll get email updates at each stage, so you’re never left wondering where your payment is.

‍

My job hasn't been updated to AUTHORISED PAYMENT - what do I do?
‍

Follow up with the client you are working with on the campaign and request that they advance the campaign into AUTHORISED PAYMENT. If you do not hear from the client in seven (7) business days post your job going live, this will be automatically moved into AUTHORISED PAYMENT by the platform. Any issues please contact support@fabulate.com.au.

‍

I received a remittance, but the money hasn’t hit my account yet.
‍

If you’ve received a remittance, it means we’ve transferred the funds to your bank. Depending on your bank, it might take an extra day to settle in your account. Hang tight – it’s on its way!

‍

I need to update my payment details. How do I do that?
‍

Easy! You can update your payment details directly on the Fabulate platform. If you need help, contact finance@fabulate.com.au and our team will assist you.
